Forget Dead or Alive 3, this is the dog's bollocks!

Dead or Alive Ultimate is what it says: Ultimate gaming.
I saw it in the bargain bin and thought: I need a good fighting game, so I might as well get this one.

Good choice, me Lord! It is way better than DoA3 in every way except for one, the fact that DoA3 has some moves that I miss and a few characters that I'd like to have in Ultimate (e.g. Brad Wong).

What DoAU is, is in fact two games in one. First the all time classic, Dead or Alive (which I, to be honest, don't play) and a pumped up version of Dead or Alive 2.
With pumped up I mean better graphics than DoA3, more fluent combos and moves than DoA3, waaaaaaaaaaay more costumes to unlock and just plain cooler stuff.

My favourite characters have gone from Ryu Hayabusa exclusively to Ryu Hayabusa, Jann Lee and Ein. Ein has the greater power in his kicks and punches but is not as fast as Jann Lee or Ryu Hayabusa.
He has a wee bit more longer recover time than Ryu Hayabusa, but Hayabusa has more smooth attacks and a lot cooler grips and he also has the most powerful throw of all (the Izuna-Otoshi drop).

Jann Lee I must say is more of the middle man, with great speed in his moves and some power in them as well (actually great power in them but also some that are very predictable).

It's not as easy to predict blows from the enemy as it was in DoA3 but it's still fairly easy if yer an experienced player, which I've heard about DoA4 that it's alot more difficult to counter the enemies attack.

The new costumes are unfortunately not as I'd place them (they are mainly focused on the babes and not the lads).
When Ayane, Kasumi, Helena, Lei Fang and Tina have like 20-30 different costumes each...Ryu Hayabusa, Jann Lee and Ein have only about 7-9 different costumes each.
Which really sucks because I'd like a great variety in them seeing as those guys are the ones I play with all the time (the girl's fighting system is too complex and wierd for me, I want power and cool characters, not sexy ones). Come on Team Ninja, the latter part of yer name is NINJA, so why not give Hayabusa a great variety of costumes, when clearly he is the greatest ninja o' them all?

But with all said and done, I really love this game. It's way better than DoA3 and has (if it be even possible) put more intensity for my passion towards fighting games in this sort.

Tekken: Bollocks!
Dead or Alive: T'is dog's bollocks, dude!
