Fisrt of all, this is not a new game. Dead or Alive 2 came out for the Dreamcast in 2000 and for the Arcade a year before that. However, it is not the same game. As a port, this is a fine example of what it means to build from the ground up. The graphics are on par with any on the Xbox and the character models are some of the finest in the business. Team Ninja knows how to do characters. The fighting is smooth and fluid, the stages are beautifully designed multi-layered levels which add to the already solid gameplay. The story mode seems kind of weak and the 'final' rewards for your efforts are lame (costumes for DOA 3 and a shortened vid-doc). The game is fun regardless and enjoyable for a fan of the genre.
