A great fighting game.
GRAPHICS
The graphics for this game are amazing, I have a PS3 now but I still find this game's graphics amazing, everything from character models (the ladies are looking great as usual), to the beautiful scenery, my favorite being the level with all the animals.
SOUND
3D fighting games have never been known for their soundtrack so it didn't surprise me that this game didn't have that good of music. I mean it's not unbearable it's just unmemorable, what happened to the days when fighting games had good music, ex: Street Fighter 2, the good thing though is the intro which is great and delves you deeper into the story of certain characters while playing the classic "Dream On" by Aerosmith
GAMEPLAY
Now most people say that the DOA series' gameplay is way too simplistic, that it's nowhere near as deep as Tekken's or Soul Calibur's, I find this to be a good thing. Most newcomers to the Tekken and Soul Calibur world can't do much in terms of offense besides single strikes and like one or two combos. This game on the otherhand lets newcomers pick up the game and play without any probelms. Newcomers will have a blast playing this game, but it's not to say that they can beat the DOA veterans.
DOA Ultimate is a great game, one of the best fighting games I have ever played. It has just about everything you would want in a fighting game: graphics, gameplay, lots of unlockables (and I mean a lot of costumes, especially for the ladies) that will keep you occupied for a while even if you are playing by yourself.
