The best Dead or Alive game to date!

The DOA game has taken over Tekken and getting close to Viruta Fighter series in terms of game play. Lets face it, DoA 3 did not feel like a very good game, it felt more or less like a "update" than anything else...sure it had two new characters, new levels, but the game didn’t feel as good as DoA 2 did. Well, Tecmo solved the problem; they took the best of DoA 3, and added those elements to DoA2! With the original DOA, DoA2; you can’t really go wrong with this awesome package! The DOA series has been seeing a big improvement on game play over the past few years...more moves, different attacks have different damages, and the awesome "counter"-combo system. I should also mention that the original DoA is the console version of the game...its not exactly a direct port, but the graphics and the game play seems a bit faster and lot smoother. One thing to note for XBL is that there is hardly anyone playing the original DOA online; everyone is playing DoA 2 (the better of the two). Fighting online is a different story with this game, because most of the time lags will make a good game in to an ugly one. So it’s best to keep the player limit to 4, and you will pretty much have a good fight (lags anything over 4 players). In online mode, only two people fight at a time, while rest of them watches...just about anyone can talk, and when the fight ends, its a different battle (think of tournament style); its a fresh new look at online fighting games, where its not between just two players, but instead bunch of them...think like playing the game in a crowded arcade at your local mall or something. Graphics in this game is just beautiful...the characters are well animated ("special" attention to the female characters!), silky smooth animation, and the stages are just something to drool over! If you knock your opponent against the wall, he might get twice the damage if the wall is electric or explosive...just cool little things about every stage that makes the fighting experience a bit more interesting! Sound is alright, pretty much imported from all of the DOA games...staying true to their heritage. Overall, DOA Ultimate is a very good fighting game. Although I can only play with 4 players online, the game is still blast to play! There are TONS of things to unlock in DOA Ultimate, and with XBL, this game is a must buy for anyone that loves fighting game!
