GameSpot editors respond to the price and launch lineup of the Nintendo 3DS.
That emo kid was kinda annoying did he expect to have perfect 3D right at launch... It normally take around 1 years for developer to get used to the a new console before they can release game that take fully advantage of the console hardware. It have always been like that and probably will stay forever like that. So those who expect game with perfect 3D effect right at launch will probably be dissapointed.
I also read some of the comments, and it kinda pisses me off. Even though it is priced at $250, it actually think it is very reasonable. You got enhanced graphics, that look better than the Wii's and comparable to PSP's. The games are going to cost more, because of the technology it stores. Why the hell would you think it would cost 20-30 bucks when it has 3D capability? The technology in the thing looks smart and reletively smooth, so overall, I think this system should work.
Who is the guy who looks like he's going to kill himself if he has to say anything nice about the 3DS.? He looks like he is high and on xanax.
I've read some of the comments about pricing and i don't know why there's so much complaining about it, 250 is a really good price for the 3DS considering that the graphics are just as good as the wii and ps2 if not better. Also considering that most games for the for the PSP and DS are between 30 or 40, the pricing for 3DS games, besides the occasional 50 dollar game like DoA its a reasonable price in my opinion ill pay forty bucks since i do it anyways. (P.S. the announcement for the PSP2 i think takes place JAN 27 and if released its gonna be at the very end of this year or the first quarter of next year.)
wow, that stoner dude is a real buzzkill, he doesnt seem to be much of a nintendo guy either, looks more like a PC gamer, so I expect negative comments from a guy like him, the other guys seemed pretty excited about it tho, so i'm sure it'll be great. the price isn't an issue for me, i haven't seen the 3D on it so i cant comment on that, that movement sensing seems interesting, but i doubt the more popular titles will put a huge emphasis on it, which is fine. im not a big fan of the gimmicky features like playing with the mic and camera and stuff, just gimme some good looking games and a nice 3D effect and im good, that's all i really want out of the system and looks like it'll deliver on those fronts so I'm sold.
@twztid13 Couldn't agree more, we could have a new 3d zelda. I've played through ocarina more than enough times. Lets see more "new" nintendo.
@OmegaAK47 Gamestop already has the list prices for some 3DS games and SSF IV 3D is $39.99 which is a bit too high but still worth it if you didn't get SSIV for the PS3
Pistachio Kernels mixed with Peanut M&M. 3 thumbs up. Nintendo 3ds sounds like it's 2 thumbs up from what they are saying.
But games at $45 - $50 thats way to high. If SSF 4 cost more on the 3DS then for PS3 thats a rip off!!! (I will stilll buy it though)
The price is a little high but it's bearable , I will get one at launch just because I want a more powerful DS. SSF 4 and LoZ:OoT are the only games looking forward to,
Seriously? This is a discussion about pricing and the launch lineup of the 3DS? It seriously looks like a promo for the 3DS to me... The rare arguments in this video about pricing are either positive, or ... very short. Who cares about problems like accelerometer and 3D mesh when there is those HUGE problems they seem to be ignoring or just glazing over? What about the fact that there is only one nintendo game at release? What about the price ?!! Most users comments are about that crazy price for the system AND the games ! And what about the fact that Nintendo said they are selling at this price because people will still buy it !! It obviously can be much, much cheaper ! When one dude in the video makes an argument on the price that's not positive, it last 3 seconds and the video switch to something else. And when one dude explains us why the price is normal and "ok" it takes 30 seconds ! Seriously...
Games will be between 40-50 dollars.. thats the big issue right there. Joystiq's Chris something .. was crapping all over it.. But he is an Apple apologist. So its hard to tell if his Apple fanboyism was spewing ill will towards the 3DS.. With quotes like" Ocarina Of Time looked like garbage.. it looks like a 20 year old game" "The 3D effect gave me a head ache" "The touch pad is obsolete.. which is a deal breaker for me" "The games are way to expensive"... I haven't seen this in action yet but this guy who I usually agree with was not buying into the hype.
can I get any type of software media on that 3DS, if I'm buying this , I gotta know my $260 will be well spent,if the amount of pay is around that much then how much will the games sell for..
