If you want a game that has both good fighting and revealing outfits, this is your game!

User Rating: 8.8 | Dead or Alive 3 (Classics) XBOX
The Dead or Alive series is known for its good fighting gameplay, great graphics, and, shall I say, "lovely ladies". Well, Dead or Alive 3 delivers all this, and does it quite well. Astounding visuals, fun gameplay, and revealing outfits are put together to make a game worth checking out. Even though the gameplay is fun, the graphics are the game's strongest point. However, the game seems to really try to be edgy with it's revealing outfits, like a majority, no, all the other Dead or Alive games .

Dead or Alive 3 is the first game in the series to be exclusive to one console, as the first Dead or Alive was on two consoles, and Dead or Alive 2 was on a few consoles and arcade. Dead or Alive 3 is not on arcade, but it plays alot like an arcade game. In the story mode, you battle one person, and after you beat that person, you fight another person. You just repeat this until you beat the last person. Of course, most fighting games made usually play like that.

This isn't really a bad thing, as there are more battles. The fighting gives us what we expect from a fighting game. This game has a slightly more complex fighting system than most fighting games. There are more than five throws for every character, and a very large amount of counter attacks. You can counter attack by blocking and pressing down on a certain direction on the control stick. If you can master the counter system, it will lead to some intense brawls.

Not all fighting games have very good graphics. This is not the case with Dead or Alive 3. In fact, the graphics are the game's strongest point. Details in the environment are plentiful in this game, and the courses are very complex, and have multiple levels. There are many situations where you can knock someone off a cliff, and they will go flying down. This deals alot of damage, and can help you quite a bit when you are losing in a battle. There aren't many games made in 2001 that have better graphics than Dead or Alive 3.

Dead or Alive is known for it's "lovely ladies", and Dead or Alive has alot of that. Just about every girl in the game has a revealing outfit, if you know what i mean. This game also goes a little overboard with what I will call "bouncing physics". For everyone who dosen't want a really dirty game, there is no need to worry about getting this game. It's really not worse than anything you would see in a PG-13 movie.

Unfortunately, there really isn't much of a reason to play this game once you have already beaten everything. You unlock a little movie when you beat the game with a character, and thats it. These little movies can be cool, but we really need more than just them for unlockables. There is one unlockable character, but there really is no reason to play the game using him, considering you have to beat the game with every character to unlock him, and you cant even play the story mode with him.

You will probably recognize some of the music in this game if you listen to rock, as this game has music from the band Aerosmith. There isn't a huge amount of songs by them in the game, and the music that isn't made by them that is in the game is not very good. But that dosent really matter, as you are buying the game for the gameplay. I am not saying that i dislike Aerosmith, but it is just the truth.

This game is definitely a game you want to play if your into fighting games like Tekken or Virtua Fighter. It delivers what all the other Dead or Alive games did, and it does it quite well. The game tries a bit too hard to be a "dirty" game with all the revealing outfits and "bouncy physics" when it dosen't really need it. But all that dosen't much matter, as this delivers solid gameplay and incredible visuals that are not seen in a majority of fighting games.
