Great atmosphere, tight controls, lots of gore, what more can you want?

User Rating: 9 | Dead Nation PS3
Since this is a rather basic download game review, this is going to be short and sweet.

1)Controls are great. Those who are used to spraying and praying in a FPS are going to be upset. You have to be accurate and quick with your aiming, but the 360 degree aiming matches perfectly with your right analog stick. This makes tight aiming a breeze, and after a few minutes of getting used to, an average player should fall in love with the controls. However, if you're a "non-skill" shooter player, this game will not be for you.

2) The atmosphere is amazing. Dark, gritty, bloody, and downright creepy at times, it is just about all you can ask for from a zombie game. The music stays "intense" enough that even the most cowardly gamer shouldn't find this game too upsetting in the fear department. However, the sheer darkness and eerie setting makes for a great setting to mow down tons of zombies.

3) The enemies are relatively varied and rather intelligent. From the fast moving ones that are hard to drop and tend to jump out of sewers, to the fat bloated bastards that explode on contact, there is plenty to shoot. The zombies tend to stick to darkness, the shamblers being the least "intelligent." But, as usual, if one nasty isn't tough enough for you, why shouldn't a few hundred do?

4) It's damn bloody.

This game pretty glaringly steals a good bit of gameplay from Left 4 Dead. However, it's not a bad thing. This game is a solid download, even for what is probably 5 dollars too expensive. You'll get a good amount of fun out of it, and plus, its local multiplayer, which is a rare occurrence in Playstation 3 games recently. The game doesn't tend to have much in the way of replay value as the zombies come from the same spot every time, but what can you expect from a downloadable game.

For the price point, -.5.
For the replay value being lacking -.5
