dead island is an r.p.g spaning over a hundred hours to get to level 50 that in my opinion as a zombie media fan is the best zombie simulator we have to date.the game is the economy and weapon system from borderlands mixed with a ultra gorey melee cobat system and semi realistic death animations.similar to borderland picking up weapons and leveling them up is one of the most addictive aspects of the game.so many weapons and skill points makes you keep playing like rabid dog.
there are a million different way to kill the zombies in dead island,and many different special infected makes you approach the situation with strategy,always thinking of the most economical way to kill them.superb death animations are a great reward for your blood thirst. take 3 friends and have a bash with co-op
unfortunately the story sucks. and its why this game didnt get a 10.The name literally says it all.so practically like fallout or borderlands your chasing points on a map but because of the bad story your mostly going to skip the horrible voice acting that tells you why. luckily killing zombies is fun you wont even care.geting around the island is fun especially in the trucks or armored car .the environments minus the pop ins are beutiful and are full of environmental hazzards that can aid in your fight.
dead island is easily one of my picks for best game in the last 5 years.it was sold out every where for 2 weeks befor i could get a copy.no wonder this game is awesome and gives you endless replayabilty with new game plus+ where you keep your stats and your inventory.cant wait for dead island 2!!!!
