So I just started playing "Dead Island", this game was really hyped up because of it's amazing cinematic trailer. I remember even seeing it on news websites like CNN. So i'll give you the things I like about the game, I like the zombie voice acting, the quests are interesting so far... I feel like I am actually helping the survivors on the island when I accomplish them. And I also like the wide variety of weapons you have to choose from and those you can find scattered throughout the island. Now for the negatives.. despite the fact that I do like the weapon variety.. in most scenarios, my foot seems like a better weapon.
The weapons break down very easy and you have to get them repaired, though I still havn't, I just find a new one somewhere else. Killing zombies is also starting to get repetitive.. and I have only completed 10% of the game. If you find a working vehicle that's all you'll need for the most part because you can run the zombies over.. and yes, the voice acting isn't the best. The person I chose at the beginning of the game frequently says illogical things at random moments, for what reasons I don't know.. perhaps she's gone mental. Anyway, the game is okay.. but I wouldn't call it amazing as I don't believe it lived up to the hype.. a 7.5/10
There aren't many games out there that make me play obsessively but very occasionally one comes along that takes a hold of me and this game is one of them. This is by far one of the most immersive survival horror game... Read Full Review
