THQ literally bit off more than they could chew.

User Rating: 6.5 | de Blob WII
De Blob is somewhat a mixed reaction, the media was stating things like "9/10!!" or "Winner of the best imaginative game of the year". But I will crack open it's shell and show you the truth of this overrated game.

Story- The game is explained through cinematic sequences, but the beginning starts out like this. One happy day in Chroma City, there is a invasion by an evil dictatorship, named INKT and is lead by the vile Comrade Black. He is dedicated to erase all color to black and white. Him and his troops turn the city to black and white, and kept all citizens prisoner. The "Colour Underground", a group of heroes dedicated to helping citizens, in which De Blob joins. They give you missions to help citizens and save the city. Can you save the city?

Details- The game itself has a cute look and feel. But what makes the game so bad is that there is no interest or any staying powers in it, The missions they give you are really repetitive and not very long it gets old.

Gameplay- You control De Blob, you basically jump wall to wall, climb building to building practically just touching to put color it. WOW, touching buildings, thats fun. Mixing the colors is what really got this game it's score, not very much games have the ability to use color creativity like this. But, there is a lot of games at the bottom of the barrel, and De Blob is one of them. Other than coloring buildings, you fight baddies. You practically press one button, and De Blob just sits on them then there dead, there is alot of fun there.

Age- I would recommend you only buy this game for yough children, since the fascination of color is always a delight for those bright yough minds. For older audiences, you better dodge this game like a truck.

Overall, De Blob has some good, new, fresh pros. While it still has alot cons to overcome. De Blob is a small platformer you might want to rent for your little ones. But despite that, this game has nothing to hold up.
