DDRMAX2 DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION

User Rating: 8.4 | DDRMAX2: Dance Dance Revolution PS2
I reviewed the first one but I'll go ahead and get this one out of the way, too. MAX 2 is, overall, a much spiffier version of DDR than it's predecessor. It has more songs, a new "Endless" Mode, and is better organized. The graphics are about the same, and the sound is the same great DDR music that we all know and love. Again, I rated gameplay based on the dance pad that I use. Read myo ther review on DDR: MAX to learn a little more about that. While the songs on MAX 2 are by more well-known artists, I actually enjoyed the songs from the first one more. THat's not to say that there aren't some spectacular songs on MAX 2, it's just that I'm partial to the older stuff. That being said, they did bring back some good songs from older mixes, such as "Kind Lady" and "Put Your Faith in Me". If they had thrown "Rhythym and Police" and "Midnight Blaze" in there, I would have been in love. Oh yea, this game is much harder than the others, and the songs have an overall different feel to them. Overall value is about the same as the first.
