After a slow, fruitless attempt to find loot in Elektra we resolve ourselves to death with a touch of charity. However, a mysterious corpse full of treasure gives us a new lease on life. With our blood running out, we struggle hard to get back on our feet with the help of the community via Twitch chat. Will we survive?

s there an endgame? A win situation? Or a timer or something? Or is it like a SimCity, Minecraft sort of thing were the goal is to play and enjoy?

are you seriouse i mean igive credit to game spot team for playing this game just to ratet but i have questions:
1st: where the zombies come from
2nd why do they super charge are they using nitros i felt like am on need for speed MW
3rd did they build this game in the year of rat
did you notice that the zombies are dead by one shot and the game seems on forward mode
Yeah you can get matches at any residential type spawn (houses, supermarket, cafe), but the supermarkets are the only reliable place you can find matches in often.
It's a bit broken how useful cooked meat is. With a hatchet, knife, and matches, you can simply run around hunting game and never need a blood pack (and someone to administer it to you).
Oh and btw, you gotta stop trying to pick up so much stuff! You remembered at the end, but don't forget to use your backpack!!!
Painkillers get rid of the shakes, morphine broken limbs (you knew that one I think), and the epi-pen is for reviving another unconscious player.
The main reason you went unconscious is that you dropped below 3000 blood. If you stay below 3000, you not only get your screen turned to monochrome, but you get knocked unconscious randomly.
@Falzonn Yes, thank you! If there's one thing I've learnt so far, it's to only pick up useful stuff and carefully curate inventory.
1 Like Guys , there is a map of everything on the DayZ website , it shows all vehicle locations , helicopter locations , infected population , deer stands (which have ammo and maybe some times weapons ) , military bases and yeah all towns etc .
@TheProsecutor I will admit, there are some REALLY accurate loot maps out there with some crazy info on loot spawn %'s and the like. I wouldn't recommend using them when you first start out though. Maybe google a basic reference map (with only the major cities marked), but knowing where everything is kinda ruins a lot of the games mystic and challenge. Don't bother with the fancy maps until you've at least mastered the basic game by reaching the "end-game" (basically running out of things you need to loot). Since there's no real end-game purpose (unless you RP), enjoying the journey is much advised.
@dannyodwyer Funny story. My friend once had 12000 blood, and got hit ONCE by a sneaking floor zombie. My friend then realized he had no bandages, and spent the next 30 minutes trying to find one... and failed. He bled out and died with all his supplies & military gear.
1 Like i found the wiki very useful to getting to grips with the mechanics, and has some useful tips to get started.
If I "Abort" will I leave the game and when I rejoin come back in the same spot with my inventory intact?
@samseed666 My last comment was a failure, what i meant was, if you log out from a server by pressing abort you "should" be able to log back on in the same spot and still have all your gear.
@pelvist You log on the same spot with everything, there is also ur ammo is restored , 1k health . The zombies that were chasing u also vanish and... did they say ANZ 8 XD or AnZ8vet dayzmod.com ?
4 Like "O" Key displays your watch, they are pretty useless because most of the watches all tell different times, the best way to figure out the game time is to listen for church bells.
The fire station type buildings like the one you entered at the begining of the video is usually a decent place for weapons, if there are any inside them they are usually located up the stairs. I noticed that someone had blocked the stairway off with a tank trap though because some people do that kind of stuff for fun.
Any type of food gives blood, canned food gives you 200 blood, cooked meat gives you 800 blood, a blood pack will restore your blood completely.
If you turn off post processing effects in video options it gets rid of the annoying blurry screen when you have low blood. ;)
Currently there is a bug in the game, when holding a hatchet it lets you pick up large items like car wheels, fuel tanks ect even when your inventory is full, the wheel you picked up did not disappear it was just in an inventory spot that just was not visible on the UI.
Actually, I've found that watches seem to be able to tell accurate time these days. Some kind of server sync update? At any rate, they're also useful for using as a rudimentary compass, if you aim the hour hand towards the sun (use a tree shadow) and mark invisible lines at the 12 o'clock & the hour hand. The middle of the acute angle is south-ish, with the obtuse angle being north-ish. *Note: It's not that accurate, use as basic reference only*
3 Like Forgot to add, you can also cook meat on fire sources found in the towns, sometimes there are barrels of rubbish on the street burning.
The best items in the game are found at military barracks and crashed helicopters, you can find some sweet guns as well as some of the rarer items like satchel charges, GPS and night vision goggles. Deer stands also have decent loot sometimes.
