I gave up playing just after I reached Chapter 2. And yup, I returned the game and traded something new.

Seriously, the gameplay is terrible. When I first saw the trailer, "Wow, the animation is really cute and the storyline is kinda cool too. Isn't Square Enix the maker of Final Fantasy series? Ok, I think I will buy that game." First lesson, don't get fool by the things you see, it's not always turn out what you might expect. In my case, I admit I'm very stupid without investigate first.
First of all, the camera angle is very awkward. You will always find yourself walking while closely bumping or leaning the wall. Sometimes, when the enemies are attacking from your back, you might find it hard to turn 180 degree around without taking a chunk of HP away. You will also constantly find yourself falling from a ledge or a narrow pathway due to the buggy camera function and at the same time fending off enemies which respawn endlessly while trying to keep your balance.
The weapon or skills that you acquired are quite useless. You started off with your "leaf blade" and a vine whip. You will swing your sword aimlessly at monsters trying to defeat them. You also have a vine which can wrap around monsters, boulders and some other stuffs you can find and throw them at hard as you can. The vine itself is pretty much useless, it just make the monsters dizzy and give you a chance to strike it down. Plus, with so many stuffs around, your vine might not catch the prey you wanted, it extends out randomly without a specific target. You might caught a log instead of the monster beside it that ready to take you down. Oh, I nearly forgot. You swords also shoots bullets or "magical seeds" that deal damage to monsters. Sadly, the "ammunition" is limited until you find the "pixie" or "elf" thingy to recharge it. Thus, the only effective way for me to kill those monsters is to just madly swing my sword.
No matter how much you level up, you will be level 1 again in the next chapter. So, you will start all over again leveling to boost health and mana gauges. Even though you level up, you will never find or purchase a new weapon and you will never equip an item. The only thing you can get is "Emblem" which you are required to complete a chapter with insane requirement which seems not worth it. You will find yourself playing for hours to get the emblem and reload your save again and again because you just pass the time limit.
Just for playing two chapters, I found out this game is full with flaws and poorly designed gameplay which wasted hours of my life. I never intended to continue the game because I love Square Enix so much and I afraid I will find out more errors that will completely ruin the image of Square Enix for me.
