This looks no different to me in terms of frame rate or animation. I was hoping for an update there. Not in the game modes or menu
they have lost their credebility completley at gamespot when it comes to fighting games, come on since when do one complain on that a boss is "to hard" what happened to have a challange, or saying that a special move is to complicated to do. why dont the fighting game rewievers on this page go throw themselves in a dumpster?
Darkstalkers Resurrection what are these people thinking. Who the fuck wants to play the kind of game they played fifteen years ago on a ps3 or xbox 360.
1 Like ...Yeah.So we get SF4 and MVC multiple times and other Capcom fighting games get shunted to the wayside.So far I only saw Jojo's Bizarre adventure get HD remade and now Darkstalkers.That's a cop out to me now. Its as if Capcom wants to press foward with SF more than any of their vintage fighting games. I'd like to see a new Star Gladiator or even a new Red Earth. This modern era is so full of milk sequels it reeks of spoiled milk.I like how this team has added all these features to this Darkstalkers game but I'd like to see a new iteration.SF is old hat now.It had its day.Its time for something new.LOL back then Capcom launched so many games.They weren't afraid to get super creative.(Pocket Fighter,Battle Circuit,Captain Commando,.....MegaMan...and others.Now its as if they're strangling and stifiling creativity in order to use exisiting IPs in order to get sales.

2 Like I got to play this game at new york comic con in october and it's just as good as i remember it. hopefully if it does well (and i pray it does) capcom might consider a new game in this franchise.
Now Capcom. how about you make a New Rival Schools game!!! or even better a new Capcom vs SNK game.
Oh! and you should've gotten Udon to remake this game like you did with Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.
Gee thanks Capcom. With the Udon redrawn Street Fighter HD I was hoping this would get the same treatment. They really should start showing more respect to their longtime fanbase. I don't mind the same game so much if they would add better visuals.
@topherlee94 i imagine it's a long an expensive process would be nice though. s*** spriting low res pixel sprites takes a long time i can't imagine how long it takes to do each frame in hd, and then make sure the colors are all pallet swap friendly.
It would be nice though, s*** at least hire some good spriters to make higher resolution sprites maybe on the level of guilty gear. I'd be intereested if my sills were greater

Capcom being Capcom and provably wondering why each day that passes people likes them less.
2 Like @Warlord_Irochi ooooh and not to mention street fighter was VERY dated, hence the full HD revision. This game unlike Street fighter has held up rather well. Not to mention in the fighting game community, which I am a part of, the only thing that matters to us is gameplay. BOOOOOOOOM
@FreedomPrime @Warlord_Irochi to be fair I can somewhat understand his point. the price of the physical copies is higher due to it's current scarcity. a digital copy won't have that same issue, just the opposite in fact plus without manufacturing+distribution fees. it does seem a bit overpriced seeing as 70% of the content is already done for Capcom. There are some other games with more content on xbl & psn brand new with more content that sells for equal or less than the price capcom charges for their re-releases like SFIII ( i just hope this one doesn't have pallet dlc)
Although I do understand your point as well, plus it's not that expensive of a price. and most digital content is overpriced anyway in my opinion often costing the same or more than their physical counterparts.

@OmegaGear you make a point there. But most of the recent HD ports from capcom are less than worthy (and quite overpriced in general)
@FreedomPrime @Warlord_Irochi I prefer the PS1 version for it being released on an actual disc and thus another game to my collection. if I have to pay the extra $10 for that, I will and I did
@Warlord_Irochi @FreedomPrime and to further my argument, which you asked for. before marvel vs capcom 2 was released on XBLA a used copy of that game for the PS2 was selling for $100 each.... and you said overpriced. You should know more about the subjects you choose to comment on because clearly you don't know anything about this one. Derp.

I manage a local video game store and we sell retro games. a used darkstalkers 3 for the ps1 on average sells for 16.99-24.99 given he season. That for a single game, with no online functions, a tutorial, replay options or challenge mode. So simply based the the current market this is the cheapest option if you are looking to get your hands on a copy of this game, BTW this games is relatively hard to find. knowledge bomb yo.
