uh...why not just make a new updated one? You still get a Darkstalkers fighting game, smoother and newer 2D animations, online features, dlc updates and possibly new characters added to the roster? Why put all this work into a collectable of very similar games when you can make a new addition with all the updates? 2D fighters aren't dead after all, they still make new ones. BlazeBlue and Persona 4: Area proved that.

I have the Darkstalkers Collection on my PS2 via Swap Magic. It says that this release has online? I may just get it. Just wish they made a new game.
Well instead of making a new entry to the Dark Stalker series which is long over due let's just re release the older titles.

takes little effort to make a game online compatible just program a netcode and set up a server and bam you have yourself an online game,very disappointed they wont even redo the graphics to update them or add new characters
I like the new stuff they have put in this remake,but for once make a new Darkstalker game already Capcom.

@Kyrylo do you know how many fighting games are out there right now? My shelf is litterally half-full of them, and I can't keep up with them all. If you want new IP, there's heaps of it, just not capcom.
@xDeadMarchx Well, if you like to play a ball, go ahead, it's your money. And I haven't even mentioned money, just how low quality Capcom became. Basically, they reselling same old games over and over instead of making fair deals with customers. Oh well, so long that blind fanboys exists it would keep happening.
@Kyrylo Nothing wrong with polishing a game and releasing it for the next generation. Just because you don't like the latest hyper street fighter godly edition doesn't mean newer people wont. Don't use that money excuse either, if you don't want a sequel, don't buy it.
I agree. I have played these games to death back on the Saturn days and on MAME. Give us something new or GTFO Capcom.

1 Like Substantively, I thought Darkstalkers 3 was awesome back in the day.. it came out... and, I did play it sorta recently on the PSP, and it hasn't really aged well. Everyone loves the characters and all, but it's like.. a decade old.. o_O Instead of spending millions and billions to make Resident Evil more movie than game, why not just make a cool new Darkstalkers? It doesn't have to be huge, but it's got a big fanbase.
Couldn't they have at least made a new intro, other than the original? (that DEFINATELY looks like it was made in the early PS1 days.)
Never really got into this series but it played it and it was fun. I see where they got some of the capcom charactoris in they cross overs.
