there now I know he dies before I play the first game XD I will play it anyway (free on PS+ yay), if I like it I'll get this one too.

If you're thinking about getting this game, I recommend checking out humble bundle, just got darksiders 1 and 2 with a couple red faction games cheap.
Love this game, huge, colourful, constantly taking you to new places, great fun, an utter joy... Shame it looks like 3 isn't gonna happen :(
4 Like Why on earth does he show the final boss fight and SAYS this is the final boss fight. What the hell? This is supposed to be a review. Not a huge spoiler. Yes the final boss is a joke and it maybe should be pointed out. But for god's sake don't show a video of the fight...
why is the score 8.5 in the video, but 8.0 on the site? It's not a big deal, I hate numbered review scales anyway [everyone should do rent it, buy it, or trash it]. Haven't visited Gamespot in a while, I'm curious if they take user score or metacritic into account and adjust score now is all.

In the ps3 system..looks very good...
3 Like something that i dont get is why ppl r bashing the game for its graphics its supposed to be comic book style art not real life graphics. and imo the controls feel very nice a not that hard to get at all to me its amuch better game than its predecesor. im not saying its the best game in the world im just sayin its better than DS1 and is very good as a gme alone
this game have more problems than dark souls, dragons dogma, deus ex h.r all together,why that stupid camera if 20 dudes appear once....why open world if we can not explore and with a lot of grapifc problem,screen tearing is a shame...Why are they always appear the same enemies?! Only change the colors ...etc...
22 hours in, either save game corrupted or the constant crashing just got too much for the xbox and its had enough! save your money and patience!
Graphics are horrendous! It's almost like Vigil thought they were coding on the PS2/Original xbox for this title. Controls are also a pain in the ass at the best of times. I'm hugely disappointed after the success of the first.
That said it's a great story and the game draws you in. If only they would have put a little more effort into everything else.
2 Like @ScouseLemon The controls are only bad if you suck at the game...or pushing buttons on the PC..Tell me one PS2 game that looks better...since you are saying it's PS2 Graphic like...the graphics are an art Comic Book style....sry you PC nerds can't have every game look like real life...vast improvement over 1st
@monks99 Always one that jumps to conclusions without actually knowing anything about the poster they are replying to. FYI I'm playing it on the 360 and don't kid yourself the graphics are low res & rushed. DS1 had better graphics than the second. And I suck at the game? Again a conclusion met by a poster who knows nothing. The controls are fiddly, simple as. Making Death do easy things like climbing a wall can be cumbersome and irritating as the camera swings round and you jump the wrong way. Oh and the bash at PC gamers will get nothing but aggro :) Enjoy.

@ScouseLemon @monks99 WELL BOTH DARKSIDES HAD TECHNICAL ISSUES but only on the xbox360 its your fault for using an xbox that's why i swapped to ps3
@monks99 I've been playing games for over 20 years. I don't need a lecture on what's good and what's not. I defenately don't need to be told how to play a game.
If you like it, great, that's cool, your entitled to your opinion and we no doubt have different opinions in what looks and feels good. Like I said in my first post, I do like the game but in my opinion, I feel it's been rushed, simple as that. The rest of what you wrote I didn't look into much as it has nothing to do with what we were talking about.
@ScouseLemon I'm "assuming" you suck at it...because I play it..and have no problems platforming..I play it on a pretty good TV..and I think it looks great...they actually held back the release date by 4-5 months..so idk how it was rushed...ppl just always have too high expectations...especially when the game gets hyped..If this were DS 1...it would have been praised more...people raved Skyrim...(don't get me wrong..it's a great game)...but nobody complained about that game being..."too long"...meaning (the size of the world)..and Skyrim's caves and othr places look alot alike..(not comparing the 2)..just was an example...if you knew what butons to hold down to perform a 180 jump..maybe you wouldn't be complaining...or if they used actors instead of having artist draw and Auto Desk the game..you would be happy..to get a PS3...no issues here :)

At least the werent that bad like WOW though, i can easily compare PS2 games with WoW graphics, but i can hardly imagine the DS animations in a PS2 game though...
@InquisitorCrox @ScouseLemon The graphics look really good, way better than the first one. And the controls are really nice. For me it is way better than the first in every aspect.
@Heavenly_King We all have our own perspective on what's nice and what's not. I'm glad you find the game way better than the first. Enjoy it.
Only level 9 so far, i think am starting to grasp the magnitud of this game. I saw kevin's review first, then knowing that i should play it in apocalyptic mode,(so boss fights wont be that easy) i did. Yet, being trashed so easely by common mobs i decided to scale it down to normal. I thing the game is a little bit unbalanced, mobs to hard, bosses to easy and that is a shame, bosses should be the pinnacle of dificulty right?, not the mobs in between.
Broken camera path in PC though, still an atractive game.
Still haven't finished the first :-) Wasn't sure about buying this one, but seeing this review is sort of slowly changing my mind.
also seems kinda dumb that a force as powerful as "death incarnate" would have to figure out puzzles
It sounds fun ...I just hate that cartoony over muscular .....action rpg look.......I wish graphics would shift to the more realistic look of the witchers in rpg.......l absolutely hate the big old swords that are wider and larger than the actual characters
Darksiders 2 is a great sequel to a great game. The loot and experience are great additions.
