My definition of death is a floating black cloak, a bone face ( or mask )...he has no body since he can shape shift to anything, and the scythe that can also change shape. not a long haired half-naked grunt

this one is actually better than the first, "BUT" i hope soulreaver will not be forgotten because of this, coz im a fan of LOK Soulreaver. RAZIEL FTW! (Razielim)

I didn't like the old character and backgrounds. This time instead both definitely meet my tastes. It's more Soul Reaver style oriented now. :)

@Minasodrom I mean, it has a REALLY good concept with the whole "End of the world", "Rise of the four horseman" setting, but the story was lacking a bit but decent, the combat was fine but the gun was COMPLETELY useless (Almost like they didn't want to add it, but just did to appeal to Devil May Cry fans), the graphics and sound were good, and it was an enjoyable experience. Where it fails is the length (Like I said about 8-10 hours max for me), and it needed to be more open world (Another thing they promised that wasn't really true). It's a mix for me, but I'd give it a 7-8/10. I guesd I just expected a little more. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes anf make an excellent sequel... also, they need to get the names right. The Four Horseman are Famine, War, Conquest, and Death (In that order), not War, Death, "Strife", and "Fury". They are also not the survivors of an ancient race called the "Nephilim", they are THE Apocalypse granted by God incarnate. But again, that's just MY problem with the story, they didn't stick well to source material. If they did, it would probably be an 8-9/10 for me.

Cool! In the 3rd game they should included 2 playable characters; Famine and Pestilence! Famine should be a female character and pestilence should be a dude with cloth wraps concealing most of his body, kind of like a mummy! That would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeT!!

Is a Tetralogy in the works here?

@archiasif Darksiders is totally playable and nice experience in PC too. It will be the same for Darksiders 2.

Holy Christ on a T-Rex i can't wait for this, Darksiders feels like the older games in wich you have puzzles, items and bosses actually take some figuring out. Remembers me of Zelda and Devil May Cry.

I like the new direction towards RPG goodness. However, I am not really digging Death's "look". The hockey mask, as another commenter noted, looks absurd. C'mon, Joe, I enjoy your art, but make a character that looks like a real personification of Death. Not a reject wrestler from the 1980s.

You haven't been able to capture Death's essence, Death is NOT badass... You've designed a psycho with a hockey mask... that's not Death, that's Jason (Friday 13th) and that is something ABSOLUTELY different...

When I first played the original I didn't like it. Then I revisited it later and I have no Idea what I was thinking. That game was absolutely wonderful. This one is certainly impressing as well. Can't wait.

@armydominican69 you might not have but many people have, Its a glitch where you pass through at door with out stabbing the eye so when you return you cant open the door.
