The Bottom Line:

"Boring"

Have played both darksiders 1 and 2. First thing you'll notice is lack of any type of game guide or explanation beyond basic moves in booklet or in game. You can guess if you been around games long enough what the stats on armor and such do but for someone new to this game falls way short. The pace is pretty slow. Enemies are typically very scattered and many you don't need to fight at all. Out side most are in groups of 1 to 3 and on dispair can ride by almost all of them. In dungeons enemy placement can be totally empty in a room to multiple monsters in succesion.The other thing that slows pace is getting an ability such as deathgrip and having to backtrack to area's you've already been to get a chest or do a secondary quest.
The up side if you like puzzles there's alot of them. Must consist of finding a way to get to a lever, unlock a door, or just looking were to go next.
If you're looking for puzzles it's worth giving a whirl but for pure action darksiders 1 , or god of war series would be a better buy.
