A possessed weapon can only have 4 abilities, to give it this, you need to feed it a weapon that has the ability and the ability must be highlighted in white(grey means it can't get it and green means it has it already but feeding it anyway will further increase that ability's stat ie. if a possessed weapon with strength gets fed another weapon with strength then the possessed weapon's strength stat will increase and you will have an option to further increase it when leveled).
I'm not 100% on the mechanics but to it seems the last weapon you feed it has a greater chance to pass on its abilities. You can only choose one ability to add or increase per level.

When the weapon levels up, you can choose between some bonus to apply on the weapon like a strengh bonus or a frost damage bonus or a crit chance bonus. There is around 5 or 6 bonus you can aply on the weapon.
