How Do I Beat The Scribe At The Ivory Dungeon?

There are really only 2 phases to this fight, once you get the pattern down it's pretty easy.
During phase 1 you will have to shoot Void Walker at two portal walls on the lower level. You then position yourself in front of one of the portals you created. The Scribe will fire at you with 1 of 2 types of fire, the rapid fire attack is easily dodged by running and dodging to one side, being sure to return to your place in front of your portal after he has stopped firing. His second type of fire is a charged up ball. You must dodge this so it passes into the portal and then comes out only to hit him instead. He will be stunned briefly and this is where you get to beat on him. After a few moments he will wake up and do a diving AOE attack so make sure to go back to your place in front of the portal. Repeat this until he starts phase 2. A side note, if you are under geared, this phase might repeat a few times.
For phase 2 he will take to the air and shoot a yellow laser beam at you. The quickest way to end this fight is to put a portal on the new portal wall on the floor directly below the boss and another portal on any portal wall on the upper level of the room. When he fires the laser beam, move to the opposite side of the portal on the floor so the beam moves across it. The beam will hit the boss and instantly end the fight.

You have to use the portals. as soon as the battle starts open two portals on the first level and try to stay in front of on of them. doing this will cause his attacks to go through the portal and hit him. later in the fight he will stay floating and eventually after slamming down a few times open a new portal below him. after this happens open that portal and a new portal on the second floor. try to stay near the portal below him because he has a new laser beam attack and you need him to hit that portal with that attack so he will get struck and cause you to win the fight. -
I just hit him with the forward dash scythe attack a bunch, then immediately dodged backwards to avoid his tentacle attack. At the beginning of Phase 2, I hit Reaper Mode and chopped him and his backup to ribbons.
At the very end, when he was down to a sliver of health and only stayed in the air, I shot a portal up top, another down bottom, then switched to the Death Grip so I could leap through the portals to grapple on to him and attack in mid-air. (I had a feeling I wasn't doing it quite right, but I could never get the laser to go through the portals I'd made.)
