    this game is---ok at best.
    Story is a joke with some sort of love theme connected (which blows), the gameplay is stiff, the enemies are bullet sponges, the indoor environments all look the same, the jetpack goes WAY too fast making combat inflight a pain sometimes, the game throws quicktime events at you constantly and the story is not that long at all.
    on the positive side some of the combat CAN be neat with the jetpack in open areas, the combat whilst jumping down platforms using the floor as cover is a cool idea and achivements are easy

    its worth picking up if you can find it dead dead cheap... it took me litterally around 5 hours to finish

    The guns don't look all that powerful. The don't have any power behind them. The jetpack looks really cool.

    It looks a heck of a lot more interesting than most of these AAA shooters that these reviewers gush about, and that bore the living crap out of me for the whole 5 hours that they last. I also had a good time playing the demo of this. I just picked it up from Amazon for $14.

    Picked it up on clearance today @ Target for $14. It's gotta be worth it at that price, am I correct?

    Maybe i will rent it. Doesnt look interesting to me becuz i dont like dogfights so maybe i'm just a little biased. though i heard there r only 6 weps....wow....anyway maybe ill rent it and perhaps itll grow on me. I prefer customization options and making my character uniqe, though diving in with a jetpack and blasting everything really fast seems fun. However not sure this is a game ill play again and again within a short period of time becuz of no additional content, but i shuld try first i suppose.

    @Anti-Skub

    The difference is that all of the games you listed have more depth and replay value than Dark Void. Take Modern Warfare 2 for example. If that game had no multiplayer, you'd be left with just a 4 hour campaign, and I doubt you'd be praising that game like you're praising Dark Void.

    I love single player games (all for them), sometimes more than multiplayer games, but a game like this with only a 7 hour campaign needs online to assure replay value for the money. If Dark Void came with the Survival Mission pack that was released online, then it would likely have greater replay, but for now there isnt much here to justify the price. 3 of the games you listed are incredibly long and deep RPG's while Assassins Creed is very long for games of that genre. And Dead Space? Clearly you haven't popped that game in for another playthrough, the RE style New Game plus makes all the difference as well as more unlockable difficulties that make the game much harder, something that Dark Void really doesn't have.

    Your comparison is like blasting a classic like Halo 3 for a short single player game because it isn't as long as seeing the whole world and completing all the quests of Morrowind (something which takes close to 200 hours for devoted players). This review was great, made reasonable points, and let me know to wait for a price drop first. It's one of the higher reviews too, so I dont see why everyone is complaining so much.

    @Anti-Skub
    I was thinking tha same thing; there are a lot of similar games with a higher score, and even worst games with also higher scores. To blame a game because it has no multiplayer don't make any sense, yet talking of a game with good story and gameplay. Besides, this is the plan B of a lot of lazy companies to justify the lack of story and replay value: put a freakin' multiplayer. How about the bugs? Oh, Darkvoid don't have any noticeable bug, moreover it has a very robust engine, that runs smooth on most PCs with everything on high. The reviewer forgot to mention it too, perhaps.
