    I cannot for the life of me understand the appeal of a game that amounts to being digitally raped. It's just so very odd...

    nah. i never played like a noob. well i did the first 50 hours or so... but now im on like hour 500 and i can tell you warding is stupid as hell.... second chance all the way and i dont use shields.. .to much effort for some thing that almost never works out anyways. lol ive lost track of how many times i beat the game.. i just pvp now.

    i got close to raging when i fought the man eater boss's the first few times. Next playthrough's i just arrowed the first one lol. I just hope more people play online then in Demon's souls because i could never find people, especially when i need body form so i can get pure black world

    @BombayNugz Good for you, you realized how to be a noob and just camp with a bow after getting a bunch of arrows by killing that one dude over and over and buying arrows. Or just spamming warding and attacking a bit and then recasting warding. Or you just used a shield and dodged most attacks. Either way, I bet you still died like 50+ times before beating the game.

    Just beat Demon's Souls, I'm so excited for this game. The only thing I hope they improve is the sidequests and armor selection.

    im hoping that this game ends up being hard as **** cause im tired of playing a game that seems like it was made for 5 year olds. so it needs to be 2 to 3 times harder than demon souls that would be sweet. demons souls was easy after like an hour of playing so hopefully ai doesnt suck as bad this time around

    i dont know if ill get this game. i do know that its harder than demon souls. which is why im getting skyrim. in my opinion if you like fallout get skyrim. if u like games like this but easier get skyrim. plus unscripted dragons. but if your a hardcore gamer get this but its up to you do what you feel like doing but if you are a casual gamer beware prepare to die

    seriously...of all the people... u get this noob to play on-screen?? seriously?? must be either new to gaming, a 10 year old kid who thinks grinding is the only way to win or just fails at life....

    On my first go on Demon's Souls it took me eleven hours to get up to Tower Knight and beat him. On my second go I got there in under 2 hours. Once I'd adjusted to the difficultly and general flow of the game I didn't find it particularly hard. Those first few hours were pure frustration though.

    Dark Souls is by far my most anticipated game yet to release this year. I've had to mentally jot down a list of games I'm going buy this year and others I'll buy after a price drop. So far Dark Souls,Resistance 3, God Of War: Origins Collection and Tekken Hybrid have taken priority. Battlefield 3, Twisted Metal and Skyrim sure are tempting but they'll have to wait. Besides, Street Fighter X Tekken is out early next year and I've been anticipating that since it was announced.

    I hope Dark Souls lets you play with anyone in the world because I tried playing with one of my friends in Europe but it didn't work because we were in different servers

    There are just too many good games coming out around that time for me to even think of this title. It looks fun, but with my new profound budget I’ll have to add this to the old rental stack.

    Since this is on gamespot au i take it they will be releasing it in aus straight away unlike demon souls. but it wont matter either way since there is no region limitations with ps3 games

    Current update for fans, they are making this game "harder" why bringing few new things and changing some old things - 1) No more unlimited magic. Now we can only cast limited # of spells before dying so all classes will have to play as melee.
    2) No more unlimited herbs - Only limited number of flasks can be used before dying. This will make sure you die a lot .
    3) Gravelord - If you play as pyromancer you can send your pet gravelord to random person's world which will make their game harder by spawning more enemies and stuff. The only way to get rid of this thing is by invading the pyromancer's world and killing him this is evil.
    4) Upto 3 Black phantoms can invade you (that's correct) and they can also hide or camouflage in surrounding (hide in coffin, become a statue etc).

    Above things are confirmed and I think we will see a lot more new stuff. As usual boss fights will be different and tough this time as we all have to use melee. This time there is no easy way out . very exciting hehe

    The people who made demon souls are evil I mean come on why would a level get harder each time you die? That defeats the purpose of passing the level lol thats just plain evil. I liked the game but dying 300 times on the first level just got realy repetitive and frusterating! But at least I made it to the king before i traded my game in for a different one was burnt out on game by the time the king took my levels from me!

    Game looks even tougher than DS...either that or the guy playing just makes it seem that way.

    when i first played the game it pissed me off but i like when games arent easy. but once i figured out the tactics to beat each boss the game wasn't that hard to me. There going to have to step up even more to challenge me this time now that i know what to except.
