Want it, though I hate games that frustrate so much... I like Demon's Souls but it's annoying as hell to keep dieing over and over...

GameSpot UK sits down for a chat with the producer of Namco Bandai's Dark Souls.
is this rpg or action there is no twon and the personalty of the hero not found and the magic is week
I wonder what song that was in the commercial? Other thean that this game is a must have for me and i hope none of my friends get it or rent it so i have something original that they don't have.
I can't wait to play this game! I'm dying to die! Knowing its like Demon's souls makes me hunger for it! I was addicted to Demon's Souls!
From Software makes great games. I love the Atlas collaborations. I hope Namco Bandai gives them a lot of freedom in development. This game needs chat because Xbox has party chat and that would make it superior to PS3 version if it doesn't have it. The only complaint I had with Demons Souls was how quiet it got during player tournaments. I hope they keep the servers up for a long time as well. From Software games are notorious for server shutdowns. I know It's the publisher who makes the call but that's BS.
Customizing body shape/size sounds new. Will we be able to communicate through head-sets?, or will there be more signals to use. Double the weapons/armor sounds awsome, everything from samuria, to mideval night , to roman soldier. bad ass.
Can't.... wait.... GAH! This is going to be amazing. More open areas to explore, more items, bigger worlds...
@keyboard-hero: oh don`t get me wrong, me neither. I admit I used to play games for a 110% completion, now I just don`t have the time (proof by the fact that I don`t have one single platinium, nor I would ever do) but is nice to be able to have some challenge in a game again, it reminds me the castlevania 1, ninja gaiden (which now I cant` pass, I blame age :P ) ERA. You know a time when gaming was not hand it in silver. Do I want every single game like that? HELL no, but in between the tropical breeze of donkey kong, the beautiful Eternal Sonata, the silliness of mario and the wanna be scary of RE (something that i also missed, "old-school horror") I want the challenging game that would make the persistent, OCD person inside of me have fun by having a "dare" infront. Don`t take this as an argument of trying to get into the game, "to each its own" (I should know there is nothing in the lanet that can get me into race, fighting or sport games) but more of as why some of us may like this game. PS. something that I would have like to see in this game though (or in the spiritual successor) it would be a story to go with the amazing gameplay. Being a RPG fan I want some story, no matter how cheesy or silly or generic may be; I missed it :P enjoy gaming
Demon's Souls was one of the greatest games I had the fortune of playing in the past several years. It's refreshing to find games that are not only challenging, but challenging in a way that's fair and balanced. There's no blaming the game when you get killed in Demon's Souls; whether you misjudged something, weren't paying attention or just got impatient, it's on you to make the proper improvements to progress in the game, not a matter of the game being unfair or cheap. I really can't wait for this game to come out (and I'm happy that XBox users will get to enjoy the experience as well, and hopefully give this franchise even more well-deserved exposure).

@FaYt2021 @chang_1910 All that makes sense, but the thing is that I don't play games to become some sort of a pro game master , just to have a good time (altough being constantly sniped in CoD can also be frustrating). To say the truth I'm quite curious to try Demon's Souls, it's just the massive punishment by failures that keeps me away.
I hope the enemy layout for the level change with each play. What gave Demon's Souls some hope to win even in BWT is the fact that you knew where the enemy was and that ruined any surprise attacks they were meant to do. Also if they let you change the color of your armor then this game is complete. Customization is the core of a RPG
Customizable body shape?! I hope he doesn't mean just face type like in Demon's Souls. I really want to play as fat and female. Too many games make me choose between underwear model guy and impossibly chesty girl. It makes the game so much funner when I can kick ass and be fat.
Love the aesthetic they have created and the combat controls were great for Demon's Souls. Really stands out as a unique and excellent gaming experience. Looking forward to October.
Another point is that xbox players are probably in for a big surprise difficulty wise, nothing can prepare you for it. At least i've played Demon's Souls so i know what it's probably going to be like, and I may not get killed as many times as I did in Demon's Souls. Then again... I probably will
Demon's Souls is a classic, a truly unique game. Dark Souls looks like it could actually be better than Demon's Souls, no easy task. I love the developers mindset towards the game, where getting past a hard spot requires skill and patience and gives the player a great sense of acheivement for progressing in the game. Hopefully now with the xbox fanbase, this franchise will continue for a long time, and continue to produce great, challenging games.
Loved Demon's Souls for PS3. I'm really excited for the XBox players that they could experience the same greatness on Dark Souls. :)
I never played demon souls my PS3 stuffed up before it came out. So I'm excited as hell to play dark souls on the Xbox!
I'm definitely dying to play Dark Souls. Its going to be hard, but fun at the same time. I really do want that shirt though.
@keyboard-hero, like fayt2001 said (and my preview comment) you would get killed a LOT, but as you get better this decrease, you learn how to fight, how to move and so on. And finally yielding (yes, yielding) to X boss or X part: YOU ARE DONE!!! and see yourself standing as the winner, wow is priceless
OMG!!! So eager to play this, got killed 15times on the 1st part of the 1st lvl of demon soul, and so many times after, but god it was so amazing to see yourself getting better and complete the game... afraid of the next corner... AWESOME, thx for no toning the game down for "this gen" with easy plays and checkpoints :) wiki I`ll see u there  wow graphics have being pop-up. ONLY thing that it has to get better, is some epic story to go with the rest of this amazing RPG. love the collector edition, can you add an expensive version with a statue (maiden in black, even it is from the other game  )
very interesting and unique looking game, i have not played demon souls before but will watch this one closely
I am so looking forward to this game! Demon Souls rocked and this game sounds even better. Bring on the challenge!
@keyboard-hero It isn't. Getting killed 100 times in a row is effing annoying and frustrating!! But training your skills and getting stronger until you can finally overcome the challenge! That is where the fun and sense of accomplishment lies!
