I really hope that all the whining that has obviously gone down about Ds difficulty being too hard has not affected this game at all and they made this one even challenging. Ds really never was a hard game to beginning with. They say its more hard? i don't believe it when they show us these video clips where players soak up too many hits and still live...

Has anyone else noticed the move a lot of these videos have where the player drops from an area above the boss and hits it with a "slam down move" that drains almost half of their life? *mental note*

@KoLd_ChiLLz: Basically, yes. There were archstones at the beginning of each section of a level. For each section of a level there was a boss, after which you would get a new archstone to spawn at. If you die before reaching the next archstone, you respawn at the one you originally started at.

Damn you Dark Souls! with so many great games coming out in the next couple of months, I decided to skip on this one till after Xmas. The problem is that the more videos I watch of this game, the more I want to buy it. I dunno why I do this to myself! I'm probably gonna end up buying it on release date anyway....

The GS intro music is SOO loud!

The rambling dialogue of the narrator reminded me of Abed's Batman monologue. "If I stay, there can be no party. I must be out there in the night, staying vigilant. @Aphexuk Demon's Souls was bloody fantastic and should be an indicator for the quality of Dark Souls. I'll also be buying Skyrim, but I don't think either will be "better" than the other. They should be entirely different experiences.

@AceJakk Haha I was joking ! I think this game looks good , I just prefer Skyrim! Just because a game is hard doesn't mean its good!

@aphexuk We wouldn't hate you. It's not nice to judge people who are mentally handicapped. We will let you play your "Dark Souls" with training wheels entitled "Skyrim".

Guessing you die a lot

skyrim = action game with no stats and extremely dumbed down rpg elements (linear skill tree only) dark souls = hardcore rpg modeled from games in the past, fullblown stat system and many many weapons and builds to choose from including spears (spears are hard amirite bethesda) and many FULL armor sets (atleast we have pants!) casual herb picker vs rpg of legends, easy choice for me, maybe not for this casual crowds

I love owning a special Xbox that lets me play both Dark Souls AND Skyrim. It must really suck for you guys owning a console that only lets you play one or the other.

Ill be picking this game up of coarse..How ever with that said..You guys who think this is better than oblivion or skyrim are just fan boys..Didnt see nothing special that would blow skyrim out of the water..Im sure ill have fun with it..As i said you guys who are lovers of this game are in denial that elder scrolls isnt as good as this game..Saw nothing special about it..Maybe later on in higher lvls it gets better..

Looks promising! But I'm more excited for Rage on that day, I may keep my Dark SOuls copy for a day or two after.
