Why can't I upgrade weapons past +5?

    I am trying to upgrade to make unique weapons for my Longsword and Falchion, but it looks like I am not being able to upgrade past the +5 mark. It doesn't give me the option to continue upgrading under "reinforce weapon."
    Why is that?

    you have to modify equipment, ie ascend. only andre at the parish can do that. you also need the large ember.

    keep looking around when you reinforce or ascend things.....if you ascend something, then go back to reinforce to see if you can take it further

    The large ember is close to the butcher, in a chest, at the beginning of the depths.

    Yeah, basically when a weapon is reinforced as much as it can be, it disappears from the reinforce menu and reappears in the modification menu. And vice versa.

    This caused me to have panic attacks before I realized what was going on.
