Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition User Review
- Difficulty:
- Hard
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Highly addictive"
Is this a 9,5 score game? No.
Is it a great game, totally worthy of you time and money? Absolutely! A game with mediocre graphics, less than mediocre sound, no real support for mouse/keyboard and with a couple of design glitches thrown in, should not get 9.5. Without the fanmade fixes for resolution and mouse/keyboard, I would not have made it beyond 3 hours playtime.
But (with the fixes) it is one of the most addictive games I have played in quite som time. Hard, certainly, but with effort and som thinking, not impossible. And the difficulty level is high, but seldom unfair. When I died it is almost always due to my own lack of concentration and skill. Highly recommendable for any CRPG fans who likes a challenge.
If Skyrim had been as difficult as this and with the same approach to boss fights it would have been the ultimate game.

Immensely imaginative, intensely immersive, but irksome and inaccessible, Dark Souls is a bit like heroin.

One of the best games ever played, Oldschool hard game not like nowadays games that you end in 1day.
