Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition User Review

- Very Hard

- The Bottom Line:
- "Worth the wait"
Good story, very challenging gameplay yet so much fun.
When I bought this game my first impression was: "Most people are noobs, I think I just steamroll the game and move on to next". Little I know how wrong I was when the first boss clubbed me to death. When I finally beat the boss, I got a huge nerdgasm. A moment later I died to normal skeleton warriors all the time. Apparently they're not as pushover as in most games. My point is that everytime you progress in the game you feel good.
Now as for PC port, it is nowhere the best. It is as average as Devil May Cry 3. However this reason isn't good enough to lower the rating to 3.5 or below. I noticed some issues on the PC port but all in all I'm satisfied.
Next issue is about GFWL/Steam. PC gamers whine about Steam and GFWL all the time but ironically they love to pirate everything. While I don't like these programs nor do they completely tackle piracy, I find them acceptable. The developers have to eat too!
Overall, every hardcore RPG gamer should support Namco and buy this game. GOOD GAMES DO NOT DESERVE TO BE PIRATED.
P.S. 360 controller is recommended as most keyboards don't like multiple buttons pushed down at the same time.

Immensely imaginative, intensely immersive, but irksome and inaccessible, Dark Souls is a bit like heroin.

One of the best games ever played, Oldschool hard game not like nowadays games that you end in 1day.
