My Xbox 360 wireless controller works for all other games except for Dark Souls PC. Anybody have similar problems and what is the fix?
I finally got the controller to work after I uninstalled my Nostromo game-pad software.
I ran into the same problem - there's something about Dark Souls that prevents the 360 controller from working if there's a Nostromo hooked up. From has admitted they're not that knowledgable about PC development, which is why this seriously AWESOME game has such a half-baked PC port (ie, why we've had to have a 3rd party patch to unlock decent PC resolutions, etc). That said, I hope the PC version does well enough that they consider investing in hiring some PC experts for the next game.
Sorry for the bump but I was just wondering if you could also play this game with another controller?
I've been playing DS on the 360 for over a year now but because I didn't want to wait till October for the DLC I bought it for the pc as well a couple of days ago. The thing is though, I assumed that I could just play it with any controller and was thus planning on using my PS3 controller which has worked for most games I played on the pc, but with DS it just doesn't do anything when the controller is plugged in.
So I was just wondering if I could somehow play it without having to buy either a receiver or a wired 360 controller first?
