less talkin' more action

User Rating: 7.5 | Dark Messiah of Might and Magic PC
Ok so I find this game interactive but not much of a top breaker. It has some cute things like a nice voice acting, characters with strong personality and strange good looking creatures but it does not bring anything new...just same ol' situation.
Actually I purchased this game as a recommendation from an ex high-school mate by asking him "Dude, tell me a game that looks like Gothic or Oblivion" and he said "Dark Messiah". And after playing the game i realised two things. One, I do not regret playing this game and two, my mate is an idiot...it does not look like Oblivion or Gothic at all.
Let's start with the storyline....I like it a lot...mythic, lots of items with invented names, lots of places with invented names, intrigue, implicates family members, and by the line of the story you get to chose which side to be...i personally chose bad...but not with my dad...just bad.
The graphics, I find graphics being quite nice...gives a good atmosphere even a horror one when it's the case. The game creatures are cool especially the big ones...like the final skeleton dragon it rocks man...but i hated those very fast cannibal mutants....damn they were making ugly noises and they were really dangerous.
In-game sounds are very well done in my opinion....and I especially remember Ishtvan's voice...a guy that was tormented and he was begging for help...he had a very creepy way to talk.
As a conclusion I gave it only 7.5 because this game has nothing new and the monsters repeat (although they are cool)...you get in the same places twice or more which I personally find it really ugly for an action adventure....and let's say i gave 7.5 not 7 because the demon chick inside you is really nasty...play it and you'll see....
