Dark Messiah: Elements- Review Xbox 360

Its been a long wait but fortunately it looks like its come in to being, we have finaly seen a new might and magic this series defined the genre and where we were previously allowed to wander, we are now bound to a story line following the antics of Sareth we see his character develop as the story unfolds through the linear based game play this in some respects makes the game stronger telling the story better we now have the FPS view of the world and it is by all means not looking too shabby giving the game a face lift but not an overly mind blowing one as we still see the occasional bad graphical failure for example the occasional disappearing polygon here and there but it does not really detract from the games appeal.

We can now see combat the swish of a sword or the flick of a flying arrow these add to the atmosphere but it is apparent in this game that the boot is mightier than the sword or any other weapon or spell in your inventory as the game enjoys to focas on kicking enemys into various spike filled deaths or off the precariously placed cliffs or ledges.

This game is fun and if you can get past its flaws like i have you can see that the game has potential and offers interesting quests and objectives that will keep you entertained this game is worthy of a play through if nothing else and in some respects a good alternative to those not wanting to splash out on the more recent and expensive games ubisoft have got off to a good start in reviving the might and magic and i hope to see future games.
