Very different from the first two Dark Fall games, with new interface and new scare tactics.

User Rating: 8 | Dark Fall 3: Lost Souls PC
Dark Fall: Lost Souls takes place at the Dowerton Train Station just like in Dark Fall: The Journal. The graphics are the best in the series but the new interface is a little clunky. Instead of a basic "Save game", "Load game" and "Quit game" bar at the top, the user now has a cell phone for those actions which also includes the players light for lighting dark areas and text messages from the mysterious "ECHO". Instead of named saved games, they are represented by a picture of where you saved the game and the date and time so it takes me a minute to find my latest saved game.

Comparing Lost Souls to The Journal, the story seems a lot shorter but maybe because there is a lot less reading to do in Lost Souls. The new story doesn't reference The Journal much except for a few characters but besides that, the story is unique. While The Journal had a more creepy atmosphere, disturbing, thinking kind of scare tactics to it, Lost Souls counts on some "shock" and its visuals to terrify you. It's not exactly my thing, but some will like playing in the dark with the sound blasting!

Overall, I recommend this game for anyone looking for a good point and click, horror game, as long as it's still under $20.
