i'm kind of sick of hearing everyone say that every action adventure game now is a GOW rip off. everyone should thank GOW for bring action adventure into the lime light in a way now one had ever done before, and got some other studios to turn their heads and say y didn't i think of that. now look at the stuff that's coming out, great games in the genre i wouldn't care if it plays just like GOW as long as i have fun playing it i'm gonna buy it.

and 4 all u losers how did god of war even get in 2 this i guess all of u just needed some fighting game 2 compare with this and u picked god of war and who even likes devil may cry. compare this game 2 soething no1 cares about like prototype or something

If this is a GOW ripoff I'm really excited because I'm tired of waiting on the new GOW! The way I look at this game, it can be a positive. With this experience it would be like playing 2 different GOWs, BRING IT ON!!!

Stop comparing every ****ing action game to GOW. That's like looking at an RTS and shouting Starcraft RipOFF! Maybe looking at an rpg and going FINAL FANTASY RIP OFF. HALO RIP OFF. PONG RIP OFF. Give it a god **** rest. GOW doesn't have a ****ing copy write on story line concepts or game play.

I am quite excited for this game.... and those who call it a God of War ripoff lets remember that GoW can be looked at as a Devil may Cry ripoff... the games are different they just happen to fall into the same genre... God of War fan boys need to grow up

In The Divine Comedy Dante goes to heaven as well... but seriously.. I don't know how they want to put that in the game. Would be cool though.. going to hell first and after that go to heaven

Fanboyassassin: Dantes Inferno AKA Divine Comedy is definitely a ripoff of GoW. Now don't you think that Dante Alighieri is a real jerk for writing one of the greatest works of literature nearly 700 years before a computer even existed? How he stole ideas from game developers in the future, we may never know. Although you for some reason do know. Please share your wisdom with the rest of the world.

Quit playing the "rip-off" game. All videogames are on a continuum of taking things that work and improving on them. I don't see people yelling at Modern Warfare for ripping off Doom. Kudos to these developers for picking an appropriate medium for telling such a great and creative story.

Ooohhh ya a GoW ripoff...he has a giant weapon that cleaves through and dismembers the twisted forms of what were once humans. He's got magic powers that burn his enemies. I'll bet they even put in some epic boss battles too. When will the plagiarism stop?

This is so UNFAIR!!! i want this game for PC! please! come on! Dante is not brutal looking almost decent actually compared to the bald goatee-bearing Kratos, even the story looks alot like his past and his family's demise, the combat is so GOW also. anyway i like Divine Comedy so Dante's Inferno game has to be lyrical so i gotta play this game no matter what.

@Red-Dawn345 There is a person from God of war helping develope this game, so that's prbably some of the reason that it's so similar in the combat system.

This happens to be one of the few games I'm actually following lately.. I enjoy the work Visceral Games puts out...There is a reason Dead Space has high rankings..and for the few who haven't tried it..get some 5.1 sound and add a large screen..Oh and turn the light off...chicken-heart :)

i thought dante was someone like that. Dantes inferno is a real thing, graphocs look bad on the earlier vid. though this one looks good, alot of naked things...some of the pictures look painful

It did pull alot from God of War, the cross on his chest reminding him of his sins, the way Dante acts and moves, his wife being the center of his worst atrocity, but if it was based off of any other game it probably wouldn't have such an interesting story or fluid combat.

The only thing in this game which is a rip-off from GOW is the fact that he also gets a mark on his body (a giant cross) remembering him of his past, but that's it. The story is unique, graphics look amazing, so this isn't just a GOW rip-off guys its an unique game in his own way. + Ea is back on tracks people, Brutal legends and Dante's Inferno, are going to kick ass.
