When I first played the demo, it was awesome. I was totally hooked so I decided to buy the retail game, but I feel disappointed afterward.

The game starts off very interesting with amazing environment, which makes you think you're really in hell. I was expecting it to be a great title. However, all seem to fade away when as I continue playing. I was actually quite upset that the amazing graphics at the beginning of the game turns into a dull and repetitive pattern. What's going on? It feels like the developers spent too much time on first levels then kinda rush through the rest just to get the game released on time.

Ok so I see a skill tree. Awesome! I was expecting some cool skills that I can combine into some crazy combos...not. In fact, nearly half of those skills are useless. And they can't really be combined into 1 big combo. Disappointed.

No new weapon? Come on! A scythe and a cross. In most situation, you can go ahead and spam the cross button B B B B... not fun at all. Boss fight seems cool at first, but then it seems repetitive because it goes on for too long! All you do is spamming the same pattern. The gameplay is straight forward, hidden relics are not really hidden...

On the bright side, i love the 2d comic-like cutscene, especially the transition effect. Graphics and sound effects for the first few levels are awesome! Even though the gameplay gets repetitive and not very inspiring as I play, but i still want to finish the game to find out what happened. Not bad, but not very fun either. I don't feel like replaying it after i'm done with it!

Bottom line. Fun at first, but then gets repetitive and boring. It seems like developers put all their efforts in first few levels, then just get it over with. Overall, this game is quite interesting though. For the current price, it worths a play through, but for 60 bucks? Almost, but not quite.
