Propably the best arcade racing game ever.

User Rating: 9.5 | Indy Heat AMI
This game was fun back in the day. It is a game where you compete in a one screen racing tracks with three other drivers. And your goal is to be in the top four... well getting into top three won't cost you one credit which are limited. It's also nice how the tracks vary a bit. Some tracks need you to push the pedal to the metal all the time and in some you have to actually brake into a corner.

There's also car improving for which you need money and you get it by doing well in races. Improve handling, fuel consumption, top speed and acceleration to see which combination works best for you.

And like in most Amiga games this has a very detailed miniature graphics that really look amazing. It's nice how the pit crew works and the car catches fire after too many hits to the wall or other cars. The graphics run smoothly and the controls are sharp just like I like them to be.

Playing the game through once lasts about a half an hour but don't think you can stop there. Once you see that you've reached in the hall of fame, of course you want to improve and drive better and faster.

For some reason I didn't find the Ivan "Ironman" Stewart's Super Off Road to be as much fun although it has the same concept. But Indy Heat has been one of my favourite arcade racing games for as long as I can remember.
