Dance Dance Revolution Extreme Hints & Cheats

Plug in the controller in the 2P slot. At the main menu, input this code to unlock the song Memories. This song was only available through a GameShark/Action Replay until now.

Unlock new Nonstop Courses by completing existing Nonstop Courses. Once you clear a course once, it will not be counted again for unlocking purposes.

Unlock new Challenge Courses by completing existing Challenge Courses. Once you clear a course once, it will not be counted again for unlocking purposes.

A new character is unlocked at 15 songs, 30 songs, 60 songs, then every fifteen thereafter. The first new character is a random male, and the next is a random female, and so on.

To unlock the Extra Stage, pass your final stage on heavy or challenge with an AA or higher, with Event Mode turned off. The song must have a difficulty rating of 8 or higher. The Extra Stage is played on x1.5 speed, reverse, and pressure mode (start with full dance meter that only drops, so dance meter can't be refilled). Passing the Extra Stage with an A or higher will unlock the song for regular play.

The song played on Extra Stage depends on what you have unlocked. The default Extra Stage is TRIP MACHINE Survivor. If TRIP MACHINE Survivor is already unlocked, then the Extra Stage is The Legend of MAX. After The Legend of MAX is unlocked, the Extra Stage will remain as that song.

If you have an edit for a song that you do not yet have unlocked, you will still be able to play this edit normally (by going to the Edit Data section in the Game Mode). You can even load it in Edit Mode and save it to a separate file (which can't normally be done).
