I swallowed the bait, and joined the craze -- opinions from a n00b. :p

This is the first DDR game I have purchased, and it's all I imagined it to be. I was one of those people who would laugh at the people playing in the arcades, and now I'm ready to be laughed at! The learning curve is based on just getting down the basic moves/mechanics of the game. It's a simple idea that many of us have been playing on or controller instead of a mat for years, so the idea is simple. Yet, if I wanted to put the learning curve down for the tough moves, it would definitely be 4+ hours as I'm *still* getting some of the harder stuff figured out.

I am pleased with all the modes, especially since I use DDR mostly as a fun workout. The most "unfortunate" aspect for me is some of the songs... "Genie in a Bottle"? "La Bamba"? Uhh... I know they had to fill it out with some suck, but... it's still kinda "eek!" Thankfully the highly addictive "Butterfly" is there in some form. Even before I played DDR I recall that song getting stuck in my head.

This game is worth playing whether you have mad DDR skills or you are a sucky n00b (like me -- but I'm getting better!). Play in your own home before embarrassing yourself in public!
