A good game, that could have been so much more...

User Rating: 6 | Cyberpunk 2077 PC

I will start by saying that the bugs or glitches are not affecting my score, as I encountered only a few serious ones, but since I took the risk of playing the game at this state, it is my own fault...

However, bugs and glitches and crashes is one thing, but physics, AI, lack of content is another. I spent 85 hours with the game, I liked parts of it, loved Night City, but I couldn't help but feeling that this game is not a 2020 one, but a 2010 at best...

That's because Cyberpunk was promoted as the game that you could do so many things, be whatever you want, but it actually is nothing more than a story driven open world action rpg... If I could compare it with other games, it is an open world higher budget Deus-Ex: Mankind Devided.

I will try to make a list of all the pros and the cons

PROS

- Night City is probably the most beautiful and detailed city in gaming.

- Some interesting weapons.

- Some very good NPCs.

- Decent story.

CONS

- Terrible AI. That includes friends, enemies, bosses, the police, people walking in the street, everyone! It is unbelievably bad for a 2020 game and I don't know if it can be fixed.

- The RPG elements and skill trees have zero to little affect on the gameplay.

- Apart from the cybernetic legs that allow you to jump higher and the mantis blades that add some fun, all other prosthetic parts also make a small difference to the game.

- Crafting is futile, since you can loot or buy better guns all the time. There are some legendary guns that you can craft, but by the time you will be able to do so, there will be no point at all...

- The gigs (side missions) are repetitive as hell. I did most of them, but I lost interest after a while. Only the cyberpsychos missions were worth it.

- No customization and no property ownership. You can't customize yourself, you can't customize cars, you can't buy appartments or houses or businesses, there are no side activities that can keep you interested.

- Sure, you decide stealth or loud in most side missions, but stealth is so easy that breaks all the immersion. It's the kind of game that enemies look at walls waiting for you to take them down from behind. And no, the game doesn't even have corner takedown...

- Some cars are very bad to drive, I preffered riding motorcycles. There are no other means of transportation in a 2077 set game...

To conclude, Cyberpunk is a good game that at times I even enjoyed playing. However, it lacks very much in meaningful or side content for a 2020 game. Maybe it wanted to be something else, maybe they couldn't do it, maybe they needed more time (like 7 years were not enough), but since they heavily advertised it as something else, shame on them.
