This could have been an awesome game. Extraordinary setting, amazing graphics (for the Wii!) and a unique gameplay make this a standout, must-have Wii game. Unfortunately the unresponsive, yet much needed motion controls make this totally unplayable.
Swiping sideways works 100%, but as soon as you need a forward thrust (with Wiimote or Nunchuk) you're lucky if it works half the time. I lost count of how often I died thanks to the ritual movements not responding repeatedly against the same ghost. At first it's not much of a bother, but later on when rituals combine 4 and more motions with several forward thrusts you're just sh** out of luck. Add to that fights with 3 and more ghosts simultaneously you might as well get ready to buy a new Wiimote and Nunchuk given you will be throwing them around the room in utter frustration quite regularly.
It's a shame really since this could have been an amazing game. Granted it's a bit slow, but the gameplay is immersive and fun (aside from the motion controls). The graphics look amazing, especially when you see some of the monasteries as you ascend tthe mountain. Played this til the bitter end despite the controls (and my Wiimote and Nunchuk paid the price). Would have been better just to watch a walkthrough on youtube. But as I was almost halfway through when the major problems started I was not ready to let it go. I ain't no quitter.
Without the crap motion controls I would have given this a 7.5 or even an 8, but the controls are not just a bit problematic, they are totally useless. so hence I have to rate it as totally unplayable and a 1.0!!!

ETA: after careful consideration I deem my initial 1.0 a bit too harsh. yes the MC are totally unresponsive (at least for me) but that only means I should deduct a few points for it, not give it a fail. so all in all I give it a 4!
