One could easily ignore Cubivore by judging its graphics alone, but the game actually offers you a lot of pleasure. Let get to the obvious first - graphics. Most would just laugh at how blocky the polygons/characters are, but this is acutally the point of the game (as noted by the name of the game). The game has you started as a little (blocky) animal. You need to eat other animals to survive. As you head farther into the game, you body will change and so is your later generations, depend on what type of animals you eat. This body changes will be shown on your blocky body shape. Different animals you eat will give you attibutes, such as speed, power, defense etc. Your blocky body helps you define these attributes. Let say you eat a bird, the two sides of your body will be added with two extra "blocky" wings. As you can imagine, your movement on the ground will be harder (just like real bird) because the two blocky wings attacted to your main body will slow down your movement. The farther you are in the game, the action gets a lot more brutal. You need to eat other animal's body part to gain better body parts in order to survive. Overall, Cubivore is an experiment that went very well, using its disadventage (graphics) as the main foundation of the game, and uses it very well.
