an okay game but it is often more frustrating than fun and the glitches really take a lot out of the game

First of all, CSI is an investigation adventure game and if you are a fan of the show then you might be a little familar with what goes on. You play as CSI's newest recruit and the first 5 cases you do are sort of training and after you complete them you get inducted into the CSI 'gang' and start to complete the real harder cases. Well the games major flaw is in its gameplay, the gameplay is fairly straight forward, you have a menu at the bottom of locations you can visit and evidence that you find and you go around locations findinf these pieces of evidence and then getting finger prints, tyre marks, and everything you are familar with in the show. The way the locations work is that you have an arrow on the screen and you move it around and when it goes on something important it turns green and then you press A to zoom in and you use whatever piece of your equipment is recquired. The major problem is that a lot of the times it is clearly obvious who did it and you know this but because you missed one small piece of evidence you are not able to interogate him. For example on one case one suspect admitted that she was involved in the murder and that this other guy told her, i had also found prints at the crime scene of that other person and still i was not able to interogate him because i missed one piece of irrelevant evidence which isnt really needed now anyway. This makes the game completely linear and you dont really get to do much and are forced to solve the case in only that one way. Also the game can be very frustrating, on most of the cases you will most likely get stuck becasuse you need everything and this will mean just going back to locations and simply moving the cursor around hoping that it turns green, sometims the evidence is very small and this can take a very long time and really just get you angry. But even with these flaws CSI at times can be quite enjoyable, especially if you are a fan of the tv show. The graphics are quite good but they are mostly still so thats nothing special and there are some terrible graphical glitches which make character shift from one postion to another with no animation and so on. The sound is probably the best aspect of this game, all the real voices are there and the voice acting is very good but sometimes there is a glitch where they voices just cut off and dont finish what they were saying (very annoying if its important). In the end there are times when you will really enjoy playing this game and times when you just hate it, if you are a fan of the series i would recommend a rent at most.
