Crystal Quest is a so-so fun game. It's nothing special. In fact, it's a lot like Robotron, only slower, but just as hard.... especially the achievements. I managed to get about 1/4 of the achievements in a couple of days, but the remainder of them are for the CQ elite only. They are HARD.
You will move your character / ship / thingy ( i.e. : BLOB ) around the screen with the left stick and shoot in any direction with the right stick, but the gameplay variety and excitement end cold right there. There just isn't anything else other than "collecting" ( i'd rather call it "running over some non-descript stuff with your blob" ) crystals and avoiding the baddies and occasionally unleasing a smart bomb when things get too hairy. ... and yes, folks that right there sums up the amazing experience of Crystal Quest.... proceed with caution if you are stingy with your MS Points.
