Crysis is an action packed thrilling Sci-Fi first person shooter set in a stunningly beautiful environment.

From the beginning of Crysis to the end, it is easy to forget about the immersive and fun story that is being told due to stunningly beautiful graphics. Though graphics are by no means everything in a video game, the CryEngine 2 certainly allows this game to be set far apart from all others graphically. As you proceed through the game's story line you get new weapons, weapon upgrades, and are presented with opportunities to use your nano suit's amplifications in unique ways. The nano suit provides uniqueness to the first person shooter aspect of the game, making it feel less cookie cutter. You receive primary and secondary objectives as you proceed through the game and, are able to choose if you want to complete the secondary objectives. The progression of the game is non-linear which also allows for the player to decide how you might travel from one place to another, which path you might take to reach an objective, or how you complete an objective. The games audio effects and music greatly complement the graphics engine, and the general game play. There isn't much of a downside to this game. At times the interface used to switch nano suit powers can be inconvenient. The CryEngine 2 can also be heavily taxing on ones computer (Especially running the game on Very High graphic settings). There was also a glitch with the last boss which required me to set the game parameters to run in direct x 9 so it would not crash my computer. Through and through Crysis shines beautifully showing off the power of its graphics engine and telling a great action filled Sci-Fi story.
