Remember back when Doom, Duke Nukem 3D and more came out and ALL the levels in all those games were wide open for full exploration? Why is it that shooters back in the day seem to have better understanding of utilizing space than all of these modern corridor shooters do now? It's like the industry should've started by making corridor shooters and now they should only be making more open ended ones. Why did they go backwards?
