its a promo trailer so its just giving a sneak peak at the plot and location of the game, and the character isnt nomad its someone different

mystere3 5 pts

man, they did a really good job with that. we had walls like that all over the city after the chaos. Only problem is there's no wall to pin all those pictures to a block north of the Flatiron bldg. its a park. and the empire state building would be behind the camera. unless you flip the flatiron around and point it south so that we are looking north. ah well, chalk it up to artistic liberty.

marangandino 5 pts

he didn't help the freaking' soldiers because he was listening that wonderful version of the F.S. classic!!!

ymarkman 5 pts

Nice rendition of New York City along with a slower version of the great song. This game will be in my collection of fine gems when it hits the shelves.

kkill 5 pts

the song is awful! but why did Nomad just stand there he didn't helped the dying soldiers

SuperYeti22 10 pts

@The_Godfather_ Yea, I kno, but when u mentioned the DRM, I just felt like I had to add that. It was from the april fools section of my GameInformer April issue. But I agree with u, I hate the stupid DRM

The_Godfather_ 15 pts

@SuperYeti22 Ubisoft is really pissing me off ! but we are talking about Crysis 2 here. where did Ubisoft came from?

SuperYeti22 10 pts

@The_Godfather_ Don't worry, they found a new strategy of DRM I was reading GameInformer and UbiSoft made a new solution for the DRM, here's what I read: "The gaming community has mad no secret of its dislike of DRM, which often limits the number of times owners can install games, or requires them to be connected to the internet in order to play. UbiSoft recently struck a blow to these draconian tactics with the announcement of its new DRM strategy: the Ubi-Buddy. The plan is simple: With every game you buy, you'll receive a fully grown UbiSoft employee responsible for escorting you home and supervising your playtime. While your Ubi-Buddy comes at no extra charge, you must provide them with food and unsupervised access to a restroom. Gamers will also be held responsible for lost or stolen Ubi-Buddies. By silently standing by to ensure you aren't doing anything illegal, the Ubi-Buddy eliminates the need to install additional intrusive software. When you're done with your session, you can mail the employee back in a pre-paid styrofoam container. If you want to start playing the game again, simply submit your request to Ubisoft, and wait 4-6 weeks for your next Ubi-Buddy to arrive."

As far as I know because of the fact that Crysis 2 is coming out on all 3 major platforms it will have lower requirements than the first one... and i really hope that the Cry Engine 3 is worth the wait.... looking forward to this one ;)

those choppers just a few steps away, why does this man stands then walk away, rather than go help those dying soldiers?

SuperYeti22 10 pts

SWEET! Now that crysis 2 is coming out, I'm going to save up for my new gaming rig with 10 ATI RADION 9860's in a crossfirex configuration, a 20-core i16 8-THz CPU, 5TB of DDR60 5600ghz RAM, a sound card capable of 58.1 surround, and get my hands on a monitor capable with a 8760 x 4700 resolution! Now I just need to buy a time-machine so I can jump into the future to get it...

odst_trooper117 5 pts

absolutely amazing trailer! I already cant wait for this to come out! :)

knifenkill 5 pts

the game will be great on pc but it will be okay on consoles

solidsnake7882 5 pts

Looks amazing. My rig can easily handle the first one with 30 FPS without a problem so I can't wait for this. My dual sli gtx 260's should run this just fine.

jbw3991 5 pts

excellent trailer. especially for a game that comes out in 8 months. the music definitely proves that crytek's making a huge effort to make this crysis more story-driven than the original, which should be awesome.

ChampionX 5 pts

The few main things that is problematic that porting the game to console will do for a FPS games include reduced graphics to accommodate for lower end computers or static hardware, lower processing limit due to lower hardware capacity, easier to hack on multiplayer and harder to create preventative measures. During the vanilla age of FPS games there was community packs for anti-hacking measures, but nowadays those are almost non-existent. However I would not lie the wall trailer is extremely emotional and really captures the despair of an enemy invasion that we can do almost nothing against. I would say that the whole guy standing there in nano-suit helps heighten the mood of a lone elite soldier who is trying to remember the good times of what was taken for granted. Which strengthen the resolve of why he is fighting this war, and being in a nano-suit means he is decked in mankind's greatest labor and technological milestone, making him an avatar of hope, strength, and intellectual pride of mankind. Really nicely done trailer if you get around the graphics flaw.

wiidominance 5 pts

maan, I hate to say it, but it's nowhere near as captivating as the first crysis was. This setting takes its genesis from 9/11 directly, they swapped bin laden for aliens, and grafix crapified to make it console friendly. What was special about the first crysis is the "boundaries-pushing" in grafix, thats what sold it "or didn't". Crysis 2 is really looking just like any other high end release from the last year or so. WE NEED MORE CUTTING EDGE. by now the faces should be faar more realistic, also whats with the calf muscle at the opening shot of the nano suit ? Crytek WHAT ARE YOU DOING ??

Hen123 5 pts

reminds me of the first halo 3 trailer or one of the first ones with the like model units in battle and at the end u see masterchiefs model i think. and that famous song plays i forgot what its called but its a good technique used to capture the audience.. well done trailer looks very story driven

Str8jacketAndy 5 pts

Thats great that it is coming out on consoles too. However, i'll get the pc version because i don't believe the GTX 295 graphics card is obsolete yet.

It looks like someones gone on a thumbs down spree. Anyway great trailer. Could have had a better song though.

PBN-Dawg 5 pts

Ruined one of the best songs ever made. Hear it everyday after the game at Yankee Stadium and they just destroyed it

100starz 5 pts

O yeah, COOL GUYS DON'T LOOK AT EXPLOSIONS!!! and I still don't like that music one bit. I hate voices like that. Sounds like a helium overdose.
