Completing the multiplayer progression trilogy is an introduction to skill assessments, dog tags, and support bonuses.
i didn't even try to download the demo so im just hoping it works as well as it looks but id rather have it on the 360 anyway.
this game blows the beta was a joke worst fps I've eve played hate all you want but wow this game isn't even worth buying at the bargain bin
@ PHOENIX1617: There's a module you can unlock in the full version of the game that allows you to collect tags without walking over them. Probably not the most effective over all, but it could be quite useful to counter this issue as a sniper.
and about the beta i like it but there are a few minor visual and sound glitches that occur every once in a while that i hope they fix before release
I got to play this now...for I have been waiting for the patch upgrade.Multi-player is amazing...so much variety, more fast-paced than any other FPS...maximum graphics optimization. How it looks on PC....well use your imagination (for instance I have a 9800 GT and it runs fast and smooth in Advanced Mode 1680x1050)....can't wait for the single-player ! I LOVE THIS GAME !!!
been playing this for a few months now. it's fun and more challenging than CoD or BF, but I do wish the multiplayer resembled that of Crysis 1 or Wars more. The big maps were awesome.
First Crysis had different Online mp and much better than COD look a like in crysis 2. SP is great, beta gave me great game-play (if you take away the bugs). If gamespot brings the online mp to the spotlight and giving it thumbs up, dont believe it, online mp is shallow and will become repetitive and boring after a while. Nice try with the online mp Crytek, but it's nowhere near a COD. I think console gamers may find it great but myself as pc gamer will let this one go.
@jamesbigmac It may be that you have found dogtags from someone you killed earlier, even on a previous life. You only get dogtags from people you have killed; of this I am sure. I never see a dogtag drop when an ally kills someone, and no matter who runs over a dogtag that drops from one of my kills, the dogtag is still there for me.
Nothing can top Crysis Wars multiplayer. Hardly anyone ever played, but i loved how large the Power Strugle maps were. And the fact that you could have huge battles with over 5 tanks, with choppers and VTOL's This multiplayer is more like Cod now, which kinda deters me :\
single player will probably own. As for online... after playing the demo i'm worried that the maps will be too small. I dunno, I'm a hardcore BF:bc2 fan, so I pretty much blew my FPS game fuse on that. I was hoping more studios would take on the destructible environment feature and larger maps online.
@jamesbigmac actually i think you're wrong, having played the demo LOADS you do need to kill the person to collect their dog tag... as I have seen people walk over a dog tag of someone I have just killed before I could get to them and they didn't pick it up! You have to kill them... you must have just not realised u'd killed these ppl... seems more like YOU should go back and play the demo a bit more...
@smp13, No, you are wrong. I've played the demo and picked up many dog tags that I haven't killed when people just left them behind. You might want to play the demo some more.
I have a fear about the "disable the nanosuits of the opposite team"; I hope it's time limited, because if not, it will be like CoD vs. Crysis.... Obviously you know who wins.
We'll see about it being balanced after we get all the weapons and suit upgrades. I like what I played in the demo, I have no complaints. Only complaint is I'm bored till release..
@jamesbigmac Actually, you have to kill the person to be able to pickup their dogtag. You can't collect the dogtag of someone killed by your teammates or themselves. So, in a way, it does relate to killstreaks.
So the more you kill the more ways you have to kill more, if you do collect the dog tags, because you can kill but if you get killed trying to collect the dog tag, it's going to be an interestingly fun multiplayer, can't wait!
might get this the only mp i've been playin is bfbc2 andi'd like to try something new, actually new :P
Also, they aren't "killstreaks" because you don't have to kill someone to pick up their tag and you don't get one immediately when killing someone. It's harder to get them because you have to physically gather the tags.
Ordered it for PS3 and played the demo on PC. It's very balanced and just has incredible depth to the gameplay just like the first one did when played correctly. It also looks more beautiful than the first Crysis and runs smoother. Just a fantastic multiplayer in general. Way better than CoD and much different than that and Battlefield.
they mentioned that tthe perks were map specific so maybe you get different perks on different maps?? dunno not played beta
I really like the part that they said that they wont hype this game as much as they did last time because the hype hurt them but they make a new trailer every weak. Also they are KILLSTREAKS not perks and judging from what i saw, it seems cod is more balanced that this.
I will get it for sure, loved the beta on PC,its greatly optimized, gameplay is fun,and I love how melee attacks dont kill with one strike, havent seen that in a game for a while.Nanosuit is a great adition too,and theer arent any overpowered abilities.
