    Bringing in a pro writer is definitely a good thing coz it will lead to a deep more interesting story and plot twists. Crysis2 will rock for sure, cant wait to play it.

    Perhaps if some of the commentators here had actually read something by Mr Morgan, they might realise the probable gains to the project his input will provide.
    I've said it before and I'll say it again ...

    Personally I really enjoyed the first story, I found nothing wrong with it at all and with the mix of Warhead as a side story to be played it cemented a lot of things very well (bar the cliff-hanger ended of course!).

    If they improve on the first then so be it, just please don't screw it up for those of us that genuinely enjoyed the first game. Either way I can't wait for this to come out! Already pre-ordered!

    @adam_palo
    Alot of gamers care whether or not a game has a good story these days, its quite often a strong selling point for alot of people and when done poorly can really be a turn off. Most gamers aren't children anymore, we need some of our games to offer more than just fun gameplay. People like Richard Morgen are hopefully going to make this a more common thing.

    Also why the hell are you complaining about lack of footage when this video is clearly titled INTERVIEW. Their are gameplay videos, go watch those if that's all you want.

    Good to see that a hired professional writer is going to pen the script for Crysis 2. Hope more development studios do this more often in the future! Good Stories in games is a wonderful aspect to have and is something that the medium as a whole can only benefit from, as i believe this medium can approach it is a very uniquely compelling direction.

    The people who are saying this interview is a waste of time are a bit clueless on the point of this interview. From this interview we learn that Crysis 2 will not just be a great looking sandbox shooter, it will actually have meaning, a story to tell, an attachment to the characters. He may have not given us any information on the story itself (not surprising) but he does tell us what to look forward to.

    Thank you @Legojake94. It is about time that a seasoned pro at writing has taken a crack at video games, and it is about time that all critics stop saying games are not a true form of art, since a well-respected author has taken to making a good story in a video game. Not to say that there haven't been amazing stories all ready, but this guy might attract attention to games because he is an author. In a good way. Also, I think Crysis 2 might feature a very deep story, the likes of which not many FPSs have had. Crysis 2 seems to excell in the three major categories of a game: Gameplay, presentation and story. I predict a 9.5. At least.

    @Goods_Merchant: i think you're right... a lot of guys, just throw stuff out there... and rewrite what's already been done, but this guy, he's breaking it down, almost making a science out of Storyboarding! man i hope i see the "great original story" emblem on this review...
