crysis 2 review
the gfx in C2 are just tremendous from the bright shine of the sun to the blood of your enemies,crysis 2 is a highly detailed game,the cryengine 3 makes C2 look beautiful.When we stand on top of a building and see buildings crumble,ceph ships roar by and watch as new York falls apart it all looks so real.
Gameplay:
gameplay is C2's most powerful aspect.The game gives you to 2 options,the first is to blast past the enemies using armor mode or you can sneak and escape or stealth kill everyone,which add's a lot of variety to the gameplay .The areas in the campaign are very well made and make full use of the suit's amazing powers,old powers such as clock and armor are still present but new abilities such as nano-vision and visor mode have also been included,visor mode allows player to mark targets in the area and find ammunition where nano-vision lets players read the heat signatures of targets and lets them see in the dark.this time around the player can upgrade the nanosuit and unlock new powers such as air stomp which lets the player stomp the ground while coming down and covert ops which reduces the sound of the footsteps and many more.
Sound:
The sounds in the game are very good from the gunfire of the troops to the amazing background music,the voice acting is solid and good.
Multi-player:
Crysis 2 has a decent although not amazing multiplayer unit,the modes are fun to play and extremely fast paced,there is a good balance of the use of the suits energy,the maps are also pretty decent and plain fun to play on.
The negative aspects of crysis 2:
The game is very good but it still has a few problems like glitches,bugs and dumb AI,in the single player mode the soldiers/aliens occasionally get stock between rocks and barricades,they don't shoot when the player is standing in front of them which makes the game SOMETIMES dull and stupid.
In multi-player there is a hit detection problem and it usually take's half a clip to kill one player.
Final Verdict:
Crysis 2 is an amazing game,it is highly detailed,has a fairly long campaign with lots of action,a good story and a decent multi-player.It has a few drawbacks but that won't stop you from enjoying this amazing shooter.
