Near pefect FPS game
Graphics: The CryEngine 3 is a phenomenon, not only did it become more PC friendly(easier to run)...it also retained graphical awesomeness while sacrificing the original rendition of Crysis. Note that CryEngine 2 was more demanding because the PC had to render a landscape full of flora,fauna, rocks and other objects. With an urban setting, the game frees up so much virtual demands, they had to beef up lighting,shading,texture detail to fill up the gap. The particle effects are awesome and the HUD is pure badassery. The only thing I dont like in the game is its preset graphics option, w/o advanced or specific settings I cannot juice out more FPS while retaining awesome graphics.
Sound: The game has awesome sounds that fits well in every situation. There are echoes of weapons fired and explosion/ destruction FX is epic. The voice acting is good,but some voice acting isn't appropriate or fitting for some characters.
Gameplay: Unlike the original Crysis, the nanosuit controls is changed from the original (dial-like interface) to shortcut keys, making it easier and faster activate. But thats not all, the nanosuit can also be upgraded by acquiring a specific amount of biomass from alien nanosuits, from seeing enemy bullet tracings to increasing your armor...and more advantages. The binoculars also seem to be useful now that it can show you options for engagement. The AI also seems to have an upgrade, and they are indeed very tough. They are extremely aggressive and upon seeing you will waste all their ammunition with precise accuracy(I never played hardcore mode yet but im already having troubles on hard)
Overall the game was pure excellent and it didnt show a single bug or error in my rig (full graphics). Why is it 9.0? I dont know, I just dont believe the game is perfect...it didnt have graphics/landscape as high as the predecessor but that doesnt give me the right to underestimate it...It still looks very good and the gameplay made me sit on my computer for lots of hours(also its fun and addicting). I give this thing a 9.0 and its definitely a MUST buy
