Cryostasis: The Sleep of Reason - Angry Creature Cuts into a Diver Gameplay Movie (PC)

im gonna start playing this game today...........hopefully it vil scare the s**t out of me.....

@ ashleyobrien: Your view that the only thing that makes a game good is the eye candy is why we get so much crap released nowadays.Devs think that as long as it looks awesome and makes hi-end PC's crawl it's enough.Some of the greatest games I've ever played over the last 30 years (yeah I'm old enough to have had a ZX spectrum) have looked like hell but if you get past the looks you find something that's missing in many of today6s games......addictive,fun gameplay and lots of it.

it looks like total rubbish to me..and I'll tell you why...having been completely mesmerised by the beauty of crysis (and spending ~3 thou on a e8500 water cool'd oc'd, two gtx280's in SLI and 790i ultra mobo and 64 gig SSD,)..now I am waiting for software that is at that level...and not much compares..yet..but it IS coming..and im ready..to me game has to be beautiful..it nees all the other parts too, good story, etc etc..but if it isnt pretty..well, its over before it even begins...a bit like a woman really....

the only deduction i can make without playing this game is that its not like bioshock since bioshock doesnt show up in the "related games" section of this page

Kevin-V it was probably because the video review on your front page had a watch feature, im sorry if i came to a wrong conclusion however. Still think it was slightly misleading.

lukemaneiro what the hell are you talking about. have you even played this game? it's far, far more innovative than bioshock, which is basically a dumbed down remake of system shock 2, which was innovative. cryostasis introduces interactive cutscenes and the ability to change the past to affect the present, while bioshock lets you shoot.... bees from your hand? i enjoyed cryostasis about 10x more than i did bioshock.

There's no way you can compare a game like this to BIOSHOCK. Not only they are completely different, BIOSHOCK was a better game in all aspects - it innovated, while this game doesn't. I'd give this game a 7.0, not an 8. It's cool, but not that great.

this game is far, far better than bioshock imo.

@ekkoe You mean Bioshock? it doesnt look like bioshock at all....looks good if you ask me ..will be getting it soon..
