game is certainly not lacking in depth, just never gets that bad taste out of your mouth...

so first of all the learning curve on this game is ridiculous not because its really complicated (altho it certainly has several layers) theres just very little information on the game and your left to try and learn everything yourself web searching through forums, and when you need to know how multiple systems work that work with each other you get a feeling of unprofessionalism for a game company in this day and age.

Ive played more complicated games that had far more and better information.

Then after you've watched vid after vid, gone to forums, and spent countless hours experimenting you finally get off the ground and the ai just starts either handing you free kingdoms from inheritance or you lose half your kingdom, or a rebellion breaks out or the ai decides to play some diplomacy games despite you buttering it up nonstop or every time It just seems like it rises to meet your challenges with some kind of cheese.

I really feel like I never have a legitimate challenge in this game, just trying to compensate left and right for things that aren't going as they should is the main issue.

I guess that's kind of realism as well, but this doesn't make for a very smooth experience. You could eat up a lot of time playing this game, but I just keep getting left with a bad taste in my mouth since I started this game.

Overall it just feels like its missing stuff, the things it does aren't transparent, and leave you feeling with doubt nonstop. Then when your finally feeling confident theres no possible way you can fail a simple task, you get screwed out of left field by something you had no idea was there at all or 2 sworn enemies ally to attack you etc etc.
